Open Productivity Software GmbH formed to market openDesk

Six open-source software manufacturers have established a joint venture, Open Productivity Software GmbH, to promote and expand the reach of the openDesk digital workspace. The components of openDesk include tools from Collabora Productivity, Element, Nordeck, Open-Xchange, Univention, and XWiki.

By forming this joint venture, the companies aim to establish openDesk as a sovereign alternative to proprietary office and collaboration suites for businesses and operators of critical infrastructure in international markets. The initiative is supported by launch partners Adfinis, the msg-group, and Smile, who will provide expertise in consulting, migration, and system integration.
