OpenAI expands ChatGPT capabilities with new productivity tools

OpenAI is expanding the ChatGPT ecosystem into a comprehensive office suite. A new feature, ChatGPT Slides, allows Pro tier users to create PowerPoint-style presentations directly within conversations. While higher-tier users access advanced collaboration and native editing, users on free or Plus plans can still generate basic downloadable PowerPoint files from their chat content.

This move follows the release of Pages, a word processing tool, with a spreadsheet application reportedly in development. The suite aims to provide a complete workspace within the ChatGPT application, potentially reducing reliance on traditional office software from Google and Microsoft.

Beyond office tools, users are increasingly utilizing ChatGPT for various professional tasks, including generating social media content, drafting cold emails, and creating Instagram visuals. Success in these areas is heavily dependent on specific prompting techniques rather than the tools themselves.
