OpenAI expands Daybreak Cyber Partner program with Check Point and Proofpoint

OpenAI announced that its Daybreak Cyber Partner program has added two major cybersecurity vendors. Israeli firm Check Point will integrate OpenAI models into its security products to improve threat detection, incident remediation and automation, marking a shift from internal‑only use to customer‑facing defenses. Check Point also said it will work with OpenAI on responsible‑AI standards for the sector.

US‑based Proofpoint joined the same program, gaining access to OpenAI’s GPT‑5.5 for use in its Satori AI‑agent platform and other security workflows. Proofpoint highlighted that the partnership will help accelerate threat investigation, alert enrichment and incident response while maintaining strict governance and abuse‑prevention controls. Both firms aim to bolster cyber‑defense capabilities as threat actors become more sophisticated.
