OpenAI launches ChatGPT Sketch feature for image generation

OpenAI has introduced a new feature called ‘Sketch’ for its ChatGPT Images 2.5 model. This tool allows users to create rough drawings directly within the chat window using various pencils and color palettes, which the AI then transforms into sophisticated, professional-grade images.

Users can access the feature by typing ‘@Sketch’ in a new chat window. The tool includes templates such as ‘bobblehead’, ‘statue’, ‘anime’, ‘sticker’, and ‘icon’ to assist those without advanced artistic skills. Beyond initial generation, the interface supports adding text or shapes, erasing elements, resizing, and removing backgrounds. Completed images can be downloaded as PNG files or shared via links and social media. The feature is available to all ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex users.
