OpenAI launches custom sticker creation for WhatsApp and iMessage

OpenAI has launched a new feature in ChatGPT that allows users to create personalized sticker packs for use in messaging applications like WhatsApp and iMessage. Powered by the ChatGPT Images 2.0 model, the tool enables users to generate stickers from text prompts, existing photographs, or a combination of both.

Users can customize their stickers using up to 18 different visual styles, including 3D, anime, and holographic options. The feature supports transparent backgrounds, which simplifies the process of using generated images as standalone stickers. A single pack can contain up to nine stickers. For WhatsApp users, a minimum of three stickers must be exported at once to form a pack, a requirement set by Meta.

The tool is available globally through the ChatGPT mobile app and is accessible to both free and paid subscribers. It streamlines the creative workflow by removing the need for external photo editing or background removal software.
