Open‑air cinema festivals kick off in Bremen and Bobingen, Germany

The "Lux Freilicht" open‑air cinema series returned to Bremen’s north for its fourth year, presenting free screenings in the sculpture garden of Haus Kränholm. Over 200 spectators watched films such as the road‑movie "303" and the Bhutan‑focused documentary "Agent of Happiness" under the theme "Sinn und Suche," with rain ponchos on hand in case of showers.

Meanwhile, the "Bobinger Kinotage" will run from 23 July to 2 August at the Siegmund‑Sportpark in Bobingen. Organized by the Kinogruppe Rusch, TSV Bobingen and the town’s cultural office, the event features an 8 × 12‑metre screen and a programme that includes "Grease," "Minions," "The Devil Wears Prada 2" and other blockbusters. Admission is free, and screenings are cancelled only for severe weather, with tickets refunded in such cases.
