OpenAI's ChatGPT Work hits 9 million users as AI assistants consolidate apps
Artificial‑intelligence platforms are increasingly merging multiple digital tools into single assistants. Experts say future users will rely on one AI assistant to handle tasks such as shopping, banking, education and daily planning, reducing the need for dozens of separate applications. Turkish mobile maker General Mobile plans to embed its GM AI assistant in new devices from 2026, offering content creation, image editing and smart‑assistant features under one roof.
At the same time, OpenAI reported that its Codex service and ChatGPT Work platform together are approaching 9 million active users worldwide. The rapid growth follows the launch of the GPT‑5.6 model, which delivers higher performance in code generation and data processing, attracting more developers and enterprises to the OpenAI ecosystem.
