OpenClaw Foundation launches enterprise control plane for AI agents

The OpenClaw Foundation has launched OpenClaw Enterprise (OCE), a free, open-source control plane designed to manage persistent AI agents within complex enterprise environments. Originally developed at OpenAI before being donated to the foundation, OCE provides multi-tenancy, auditability, and governance controls to allow different business units to operate agents securely without data interference.

Industry leaders including Red Hat and NVIDIA are actively involved in the project, with pilot programs already underway at Red Hat and OpenAI. The platform aims to transition AI agent frameworks from individual developer tools to scalable organizational infrastructure.

Parallel developments in the field emphasize the need for improved agent reliability and coordination. Technical approaches to solving AI agent limitations include building autonomous RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) synchronization engines to prevent context drift, and implementing single-purpose workspaces to ensure agents maintain narrow, accurate task focuses. Experts suggest that for multiple agents to work effectively on shared projects, understanding and decision-making must be grounded in the project itself rather than isolated chat contexts.
