OpenStreetMap announces State of the Map 2026 in Paris

The State of the Map 2026 conference, scheduled to take place in Paris, France, from August 28 to 30, 2026, has issued a call for participation. The event seeks submissions for talks, workshops, and panels across various tracks, including OSM basics, community and foundation, mapping, cartography, software development, data analysis, user experiences, and education.

A separate academic track, referred to as OSM Science 2026, will have its own call for participation announced at a later date. The conference programme includes diverse topics such as emergency services using OpenStreetMap in Germany, centimeter-level GNSS positioning, and the use of OSM data for cartography and analysis.
