OpenStreetMap Foundation attends Geospatial World Forum 2026

The OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF) participated in the Geospatial World Forum (GWF) 2026, held from April 28 to May 1. The forum's theme, “Sovereignty, Economy, Society,” aligned with OSM’s mission to provide collaborative, open geospatial data and open-source software.

During the event, representatives engaged with companies and government delegates to discuss the sustainability of the geospatial ecosystem. The importance of open-source infrastructure was highlighted by the French government's recent decision to use a fork of OSM’s core infrastructure for its cadastral systems.
