OpenTable reports AI integrations drive higher diner spending

OpenTable has reported that diners reached through its artificial intelligence integrations spend an average of 20% more than those reached via other channels. The company stated that these AI model integrations drove 17 times more seated diners year-over-year for restaurant operators.

OpenTable’s technology integrates with several major AI and search platforms, including Google Search, Maps, and Gemini; OpenAI’s ChatGPT; Microsoft’s Copilot; Perplexity; and Amazon’s Alexa. Other reported technological benefits include an AI Concierge used by over 500,000 monthly active users, and Table Automations that save operators an average of 4.5 hours per month.

Additionally, the company’s voice AI integrations have booked 3 million diners in 2026. Chief Technology Officer Sagar Mehta noted that the company is applying automation to drive demand and unlock revenue while helping restaurant teams deliver personalized hospitality without increasing complexity.
