Opera and lyric festivals held at Château de Sambucy and Lamalou-les-Bains

The South Aveyron Opera Festival is returning to the Château de Sambucy for its fourth edition. The event, scheduled for August 19 and 20, features a diverse program including a discussion with singer Fabienne Thibeault regarding the rock opera ‘Starmania’. Musical performances include Mozart’s ‘Così fan tutte’ and Rossini’s ‘The Barber of Seville’.

In Lamalou-les-Bains, the lyric festival has presented a rich program of operettas and operas. Highlights included Viennese operettas such as ‘The Merry Widow’ and ‘The Vienna Waltz’, as well as the creation ‘Viva la fiesta!’. The festival also featured concerts covering composers like Massenet, Gounod, Offenbach, and Puccini, alongside intimate artist encounters.
