Opera celebrations scheduled in Guadalajara and Madrid

Various cultural events are set to celebrate opera in Mexico and Spain. In Guadalajara, the Teatro Degollado will host the ‘Gala Mozart’ on October 17. This event features a local cast of singers and musicians from Jalisco, performing arias and fragments from the works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to showcase regional talent.

In Madrid, El Café de la Ópera will mark World Opera Day on October 24 with the initiative ‘Your First Opera’. Located near the Teatro Real, the venue will offer free live performances, surprise musical interventions, and educational sessions designed to introduce new audiences and younger generations to the lyrical genre through a combination of music and gastronomy.
