Opera Festival 2026 features major productions in Verona and Pesaro

The 2026 Opera Festival features significant performances in Italy. The ballet ‘Zorba the Greek’, composed by Mikis Theodorakis and choreographed by Lorca Massine, is scheduled to perform at the Teatro Romano in Verona on August 25 and 26. This production, coordinated by Gaetano Petrosino and Anna Kryszkow, features international soloists and follows a history of high demand at the Arena.

At the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, the production of ‘Le siège de Corinthe’ directed by Davide Livermore was presented. The staging utilized modern scenography by Eleonora Peronetti and Paolo Gep Cuccoi, incorporating contemporary elements and video design to interpret the historical conflict.
