Opera Paraíba conducts varicose vein surgery drive in Monteiro

The Opera Paraíba program conducted a specialized health drive in Monteiro, Paraíba, between August 21 and 24, 2026. The initiative focused on treating varicose veins to reduce elective procedure waiting lists in the Cariri region.

During the four-day event, health teams performed 561 procedures and 48 consultations, totaling 609 total medical services. The program aims to decentralize specialized healthcare by bringing services directly to residents in the state's interior, improving access and reducing wait times for patients.
