Opera performances held in Bad Hersfeld and Dorfen

Various opera performances took place in Germany, featuring works by classical masters. In Bad Hersfeld, the Arbeitskreis für Musik hosted an opera gala titled ‘Giganten’ at the Stiftsruine. The event, conducted by Christof Becker with the Bad Hersfelder Festspielchor and the Sinfoniker Rhein-Main, focused on the music of Georg Friedrich Händel and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The program included arias and duets from eight Händel operas and four Mozart stage works, concluding with Händel’s ‘Hallelujah’.

In Dorfen, the 36th Belcanto-Abend was held at the Untere Markt, attracting more than 550 attendees. The open-air event featured opera expert Franz Erl, who presented arias from Giacomo Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’ based on a classic 1956 recording. The event is organized by the Dorfen Carnival Society (KG).
