Operário-PR rises to second place in Brazil Série B race

Operário-PR secured a spot in the vice‑leadership of Brazil's Série B after a 3‑2 comeback win over Ponte Preta, bringing its points total to 35 and its best campaign in the club’s history. The victory was driven by the attacking duo of former São Paulo forwards Pablo and Boschilia, who combined for direct involvement in 18 of the team's 27 goals this season. Pablo has contributed five goals and three assists, while Boschilia returned after spells in Europe and at Internacional.

The win narrows the gap to league leader Criciúma to four points and extends Operário’s unbeaten run to six matches. The club’s next fixture is the opening game of the second half of the season, facing Atlético‑GO at the Estádio Antônio Accioly.
