Ophilus AI launches Khora multiplayer world model demo
Ophilus AI announced Khora, a scalable multiplayer world model developed with RhOS. A public eight‑player real‑time demo is now live at ophilus.ai/khora, letting users compete in fast first‑person movement, complex maps, live combat, a leaderboard, kill tracking and post‑match results.
Khora must track each player’s position, view and actions, ensuring that all participants see a consistent shared world—e.g., an opened door appears open for everyone. The system treats every participant as an active entity, updating a common world state that generates each player’s next view.
The project builds on earlier research such as the Solaris system presented by a team that included Saining Xie, and the SolarisEngine framework for synchronized multiplayer observations in Minecraft. Khora has already received positive feedback on X (Twitter).
