OPLE Veracruz promotes civic education through storytelling in Xalapa

The Local Electoral Body of the State of Veracruz (OPLE Veracruz) conducted a civic education initiative for preschool children in Xalapa. Through the storytelling of “Una gran lección en el pueblo Yarpon,” the organization aimed to introduce young children to fundamental values such as respect, inclusion, democratic coexistence, and solidarity.

The activity took place at the Experimental Kindergarten and the Child Care Center, both affiliated with the Escuela Benemérita y Centenaria Normal Veracruzana. Following the narration, children participated in a dynamic exercise where they cast votes in a ballot box to win prizes, simulating democratic processes in a playful manner. This initiative is part of OPLE Veracruz's efforts to foster participatory citizenship and social values from an early age.
