OPmobility opens fourth factory in Morocco

OPmobility has inaugurated its fourth production site in Morocco, located within the Atlantic Free Zone in Kenitra. The new facility specializes in manufacturing exterior body parts and utilizes highly automated technologies to optimize the group’s supply chain.

The expansion is expected to create over 100 jobs, bringing the company’s total workforce in Morocco to more than 1,400 employees. This follows the group's established presence in the country since 2013, with existing sites in Kenitra and Tangier focusing on energy storage, lighting, and exterior components.

In its third-quarter 2026 financial report, OPmobility also noted a consolidated revenue increase of 3.2% to 2,437 million euros. The company is currently undergoing strategic transformations, including the planned acquisition of Hyundai Mobis’s lighting business, expected to finalize in the second half of 2027.
