Polish cities roll out extensive summer cultural and leisure programmes

Across Poland, municipalities and cultural institutions are launching a wide range of summer activities for residents and visitors. In Opole, the Contemporary Art Gallery will host workshops, urban walks and film screenings throughout July and August. The municipality of Lubin sent children from its social‑care centre to a seaside preventive camp, while the Krakow Museum offers workshops, historical walks and family events under the "Wakacje z rzeczami!" banner.

In Jaworzno, a nationwide photographic exhibition titled "Krajobraz w obiektywie PTTK" is on display at the MCKiS sports hall. Warsaw’s POLONIA and OCH‑Theatre present over 100 indoor and 60 outdoor performances during the "Gramy całe wakacje" season. Zakopane’s Tatra Museum runs educational workshops and excursions that explore regional heritage. The BWA gallery in Zielona Góra will move into a renovated historic villa to expand its exhibition, workshop and residency space.

The Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa in Warsaw announced the "Opera Nowych Możliwości" project, aiming to increase the number of performances and improve accessibility through new rehearsal spaces and educational programmes. Meanwhile, the PKL mountain resort chain promotes active holidays in the Bieszczady and other ranges with concerts, sports events and family entertainment. The Dębno municipality issued a safety guide for children’s summer outings, covering traffic, water and outdoor risks.

These initiatives collectively aim to provide cultural enrichment, recreation and safe environments for families, youth and tourists throughout the Polish summer.
