Polish municipalities implement local infrastructure and childcare projects
Various Polish municipalities are implementing local development projects focused on childcare, community recreation, and social welfare.
In Opole, three municipal nurseries have received over 205,000 PLN to equip sensory and motor activity rooms, aimed at supporting the cognitive and emotional development of young children. Similarly, Koszalin has secured approximately 7 million PLN from the National Recovery Plan to build a new nursery on Słowiańska Street, which will provide 100 new childcare places.
In Ostrow Wielkopolski, a new fitness playground near Primary School No. 4 has been completed at a cost of nearly 300,000 PLN. The project was funded through the local participatory budget following significant resident support. In Elbląg, a pocket park is being developed at the intersection of Browarna and Robotnicza streets to provide a green transit zone and relaxation area, while Park Modrzewie is hosting community integration events.
Additionally, in the Legionowo district, local authorities supported a summer hippotherapy program providing therapeutic horse-riding sessions for children with disabilities.
