Opole Provincial Hospital to receive 14.6 million PLN for new medical equipment
The Opole Voivodeship Board has approved a grant of over 14.6 million PLN for the Provincial Hospital in Opole to upgrade its diagnostic capabilities. The funding is intended for the purchase of modern medical equipment, specifically a new computer tomography (CT) scanner and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine.
The investment aims to replace outdated apparatus and expand 24-hour diagnostic imaging services. This upgrade is considered essential for the hospital's role in the National Oncology Network (SOLO I) and will provide critical diagnostic support for the Opole Oncology Center and other regional healthcare entities.
The funding will be distributed over two years: 5,858,400 PLN in 2026 and 8,787,600 PLN in 2027. The procurement process for the CT scanner, including workstations and software integration, is planned for 2026, while the MRI machine installation is scheduled for 2027.
