OPPO begins ColorOS 17 rollout for OnePlus and realme

OPPO has begun the stable rollout of ColorOS 17, a new operating system based on Android 17. This release marks a significant software unification, as OnePlus and realme are also transitioning to ColorOS 17, moving away from OxygenOS and realme UI respectively.

The update introduces Fluid Design, improved animations, and enhanced memory management. The rollout is scheduled in several waves starting in October 2026. The first wave includes flagship models such as the OPPO Find N6, the Find X9 series, OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15T, and the realme GT8 Pro.

Subsequent waves throughout October and November will cover various tablets, smartwatches, and older flagship models, including the OPPO Find X8, OnePlus 13, and realme GT7 Pro. The rollout is expected to reach approximately 90 different models and variants through the first quarter of 2027.
