OPPO launches Reno16 Series 5G with AI camera features

OPPO has launched the Reno16 Series 5G, a smartphone line focused on photography and content creation. In South Africa, the Reno16 F 5G features an Ultra-Clear Camera System including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto portrait camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

The device incorporates several artificial intelligence tools, such as AI Remix Collage, Popout 2.0, and Pop Cam, which provides a nostalgic digicam aesthetic. Other video features include 4K Auto Straighten Video and Dual-View Video 2.0. The South African model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy 5G platform, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and an IP69K rating for water and dust resistance.

In the Philippines, the Reno16 Series 5G is being marketed for its ability to simplify social media content creation through its Pocket Studio experience and Y2K-inspired photography features. Official pricing and release dates for the Philippine market have not yet been announced.
