Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme launch ColorOS 17 Open Beta
Oppo has launched the ColorOS 17 Open Beta program ahead of its global launch scheduled for October 13. As OnePlus and Realme unify their software under the ColorOS umbrella, the beta testing phase has been extended to include premium devices from all three brands.
Oppo's beta is available for select high-end models in the Find and Reno series, including the Find X9 and Reno 15 Pro, specifically in India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. OnePlus has also opened early access for premium devices such as the OnePlus 15, 15R, 13, 13R, and 13s, though this program is currently exclusive to users in India.
Realme is participating by offering the beta to flagship users of the GT series in India. Users interested in testing the software can apply through their device settings, though manufacturers warn that beta builds may contain bugs, cause heating, or result in increased battery consumption. For OnePlus users, the transition from OxygenOS to ColorOS is voluntary, and while a rollback to OxygenOS is possible, it requires a local package and will erase all device data.
