OPPO testing flagship smartphone with 16:9 wide-screen display
OPPO is reportedly testing a new flagship smartphone prototype that deviates from standard tall display formats. The device is rumored to feature a 6.35-inch screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Due to its wider proportions, the display area is expected to be comparable to traditional 6.8-inch to 7-inch smartphones, potentially optimizing the experience for gaming and video playback without the need for a foldable design.
Technical specifications for the prototype include an LTPO 8T panel for improved power efficiency and variable refresh rates, alongside ultrasonic fingerprint recognition. The hardware is expected to include a high-end MediaTek Dimensity chipset and a dual rear camera system, with both sensors boasting 200-megapixel resolutions. One of these cameras may be a periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities. While the exact model name is unconfirmed, speculation suggests it could be branded as the OPPO Reno X or Find X10 Pro.
