Oppo resumes smartphone sales in Germany after Nokia patent dispute
Oppo has officially resumed its mobile phone sales in Germany, marking the end of a three-year hiatus caused by a legal dispute with Nokia. The company's return follows a global cross-licensing agreement signed in early 2024, which resolved patent conflicts regarding 4G and 5G connectivity standards.
In this initial phase of its return to the German market, Oppo is prioritizing direct-to-consumer sales channels. The product lineup includes the flagship Find X9 Pro, the premium mid-range Reno series, and the entry-level A series. This strategic move aims to re-establish the brand's presence in one of Europe's most significant technology hubs after a Munich District Court injunction halted its operations in 2022.
