OPPO and vivo announce new software and flagship hardware for September
Major smartphone manufacturers OPPO and vivo have announced upcoming software and hardware launches scheduled for mid-September 2026.
OPPO will host its Developer Conference on September 17 to debut ColorOS 17, a new interface based on Android 17. The software update is expected to feature a floating island navigation design and improved system fluidity. The launch will coincide with the introduction of the OPPO Find X10 series. Leaks suggest the flagship Find X10 Pro Max may feature a triple 200MP camera system, a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, and a large battery capacity of up to 8,000mAh. The series has already appeared in Indian BIS certification databases, hinting at a potential release in India.
Separately, vivo has confirmed it will unveil OriginOS 7 on September 16 during its Vivo Developer Conference. Also based on Android 17, the new OS focuses on performance through a liquid glass visual design and enhanced resource management, including a new storage compression feature. vivo also plans to introduce BlueOS 4, a system designed for its IoT and wearable ecosystem.
