Opta supercomputer predicts Champions League favorites
The Opta supercomputer has released its initial predictions for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League season. According to the analysis, Arsenal is the favorite to win the tournament with a 21.18% probability, followed closely by Bayern Munich at 19.90%. Manchester City ranks third with a 12.03% chance of victory.
In the projected League Phase standings, the top eight teams are predicted to be Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester City, Barcelona, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan. Real Madrid, the defending champion, holds a 7.73% probability of winning the title.
Regarding Greek club AEK, the supercomputer assigns a 0.06% chance of winning the trophy. The club has a 41.35% chance of reaching the Round of 32, a 5.52% chance of reaching the Round of 16, and a 5.51% chance of reaching the quarter-finals.
