Quantinuum and Oracle partner to integrate quantum computing into cloud
Quantinuum and Oracle have entered a multi-year strategic partnership to integrate quantum computing into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Under the agreement, Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer will be deployed in a U.S.-based Oracle AI data center, allowing OCI customers to access quantum capabilities as a managed service alongside existing high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU resources.
The collaboration aims to facilitate hybrid quantum-AI workloads, targeting complex computational challenges in fields such as drug discovery, materials science, financial modeling, logistics, and energy operations. By combining quantum processing with classical supercomputing and AI, the companies intend to lower technical barriers for enterprises, academic institutions, and research labs.
In its second-quarter 2026 financial results, Quantinuum reported a 279% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $8 million. The company also noted its successful completion of a $1.7 billion initial public offering and highlighted its ability to invest in business acceleration with over $2 billion in cash on hand.
