Oracle expands Digital Assets Data Nexus for banking blockchain integration

Oracle has expanded its Digital Assets Data Nexus, an enterprise-grade platform designed to help regulated financial institutions issue, govern, and integrate blockchain-based products into existing operations. The update introduces payment execution tools, configurable wallet and smart-contract controls, and AI-assisted transaction oversight.

The platform aims to help banks extend ISO 20022 payment operations into digital money by connecting to Swift’s digital ledger and Oracle’s own banking-payments software. Built on Oracle Blockchain and the Oracle AI Database 26ai, the system supports a multi-ledger infrastructure compatible with Hyperledger Fabric and Hyperledger Besu, preventing vendor lock-in to a single blockchain.

Key features include pre-built tokenization smart contracts and a low-code environment called Blockchain App Builder to accelerate development. The platform also utilizes agentic AI workflows to automate compliance tasks and regulatory reporting. Oracle is targeting use cases such as stablecoins, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), bonds, and real-world asset tokenization.
