Oracle launches AI Agent Platform for Fusion Applications
Oracle announced a new AI‑native development experience called Oracle AI Agent Studio within its Fusion Cloud. The platform enables customers and partners to build "Fusion Agentic Applications" – collections of specialized AI agents that can coordinate, make decisions and act directly on business objects, workflows, and data in Oracle Fusion Applications. The solution supports no‑code, low‑code and pro‑code development, allowing domain teams to describe processes in natural language or use professional tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git and CI/CD pipelines. Integrated governance, authentication, permissioning, approval hierarchies and audit trails ensure that agents operate under existing security and compliance policies, addressing a key barrier to moving AI from pilot projects to production use.
The announcement highlights a broader industry shift from AI assistants that only suggest actions toward platforms that automate end‑to‑end operational workflows. Alongside Oracle, software company Harness is also promoting a full‑lifecycle AI‑agent platform that covers evaluation, continuous improvement and real‑time simulation, underscoring growing enterprise demand for secure, production‑grade AI automation.
