Oradea launches autumn cleaning and leaf collection campaign

Oradea is launching an autumn cleaning campaign running from October 5 to October 30. Organized by the Oradea City Hall in collaboration with the sanitation operator RER Vest, the initiative allows residents to dispose of vegetable waste, such as leaves and branches, free of charge.

Residents and property associations can place collected leaves and branches at the edge of their properties. To prevent littering on roads or sidewalks, the municipality requests that leaves be placed in transparent bags. Branches should ideally be cut and tied to ensure pedestrian safety. Collection will occur Monday through Friday in scheduled sectors, starting with main traffic arteries and public spaces.

Outside of this specific campaign, biodegradable waste can be placed in brown bins or taken to designated collection points on Thurzo Sandor and Uzinelor streets.
