Oradea partially reopens Parcul 1 Decembrie, musical fountain to operate on weekends

Oradea City Hall announced that a section of Parcul 1 Decembrie will reopen to the public on Saturday, 8 August, from 12:00. Access is limited to the stretch between Vasile Alecsandri Street and the Unknown Hero statue; the remainder of the park stays closed while modernization works continue.

The park’s musical fountain will be switched on daily between 10:00 and 19:00, but the music component will play only on Saturdays and Sundays from 18:30 to 19:00. Decorative lighting is not yet operational and will be installed later, depending on energy conditions and local measures. Visitors are asked to respect fenced‑off areas and safety signs until the full renovation is completed.
