Oradea secures new funding for infectious diseases hospital

The Oradea City Hall has announced the signing of a new financing contract for the construction of the new Infectious Diseases and Pneumology Hospital. The project, valued at over 734.6 million lei, is being funded through the 2021-2027 Health Program, utilizing European Union funds for 659.024 million lei of the total cost, with the local budget contributing 75.593 million lei.

This new financing follows the project's removal from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) due to timeline constraints. Construction, managed by Construcții Erbașu, has reached 52% completion. The resistance structure is finished, interior compartmentation is nearly complete, and exterior window installation is at an advanced stage. Current work focuses on electrical, sanitary, and ventilation installations.

The new facility will be built on a 2.5-hectare site and will span approximately 50,000 square meters, featuring a four-story building with a minimum of 218 beds.
