Oradea Social Assistance Directorate highlights homeless shelter services

The Oradea Social Assistance Directorate (DAS) organized a socialization lunch for residents of the Gutenberg Street Night Shelter to mark World Homeless Day and Oradea City Day.

As the cold season approaches, the institution is reminding individuals without permanent housing that they can request overnight accommodation. The night shelter has a capacity of 71 places, which can be increased if necessary.

In addition to overnight stays, the Gutenberg Community Center provides daytime services, including psychological counseling, assistance with obtaining identity documents, access to hygiene facilities, and clothing exchange. Anca Grama, executive director of DAS Oradea, stated that the institution aims to provide support through both housing and related activities to assist those in difficult life situations.
