Oral Court Judges meet in San Martín de los Andes amid protests
The XXVI Meeting of Oral Court Judges is being held in San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, from October 1 to October 2. The event brings together judicial magistrates and officials from across Argentina and has been declared of interest by the Neuquén Government.
The gathering coincides with local protests following a recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the repeal of the Rural Land Law. Members of various unions and social organizations, including ATE, ATEN, Patria Grande, and the Partido Obrero, held a peaceful demonstration in front of the hotel where the judicial delegation is staying to express their rejection of the court's decision.
In response to the ruling, the local Deliberative Council approved an institutional declaration of repudiation. The opening session included several high-ranking officials, such as Supreme Court Minister Ricardo Lorenzetti and Neuquén Security Minister Matías Nicolini.
