Oral hygiene experts warn against routine mouthwash use

Medical experts and dental professionals are raising concerns regarding the routine use of mouthwash. While many people use these products to combat bad breath and prevent cavities, some specialists, including Dr. David Conway from the University of Glasgow Dental School, suggest that mouthwash is not a necessary component of basic oral hygiene. Experts warn that regular use may mask underlying issues and could potentially impact blood pressure or increase certain health risks. They emphasize that mechanical cleaning through brushing with fluoride toothpaste remains the most effective method for removing bacteria.

In a separate consumer development, the Polish brand Tołpa has announced significant discounts on various oral care products. The sale includes toothpastes, mouthwashes, and breath fresheners, with price reductions reaching up to 56%. Featured items include the White ON whitening series and the Black Gold charcoal toothpaste, alongside portable breath sprays.
