Oral storytelling festivals scheduled in Hellín and l’Alfàs del Pi

Various oral storytelling events are scheduled across Spain this September. In Hellín, the XIV edition of the ‘Hellín Te Cuenta’ festival will take place from September 10 to 12 at the Casa de la Cultura patio. The festival features narrators Estibi Mínguez, Sandra Cerezo, and Fran Pintadera, offering sessions for both families and adults. Programs include bilingual storytelling, tales of migration, and traditional oral history.

Additionally, the ‘Contes a la fresca’ initiative returns to l’Alfàs del Pi on September 2 at the plaza de les Escoles Velles. This community-driven project, supported by municipal libraries in l’Alfàs del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, and Callosa d’en Sarrià, invites residents of all ages to share legends, anecdotes, and personal memories in an open-air setting.
