Orange and 4ka negotiate continued roaming cooperation in Slovakia

Mobile operators Orange and 4ka have confirmed their intention to continue cooperating on national roaming in Slovakia. While both parties expressed interest in maintaining the service, which allows 4ka customers to use Orange's 2G and parts of its 4G network in areas with limited coverage, the final terms and technical solutions are still under negotiation.

Discussions are reportedly expanding beyond simple roaming to include more complex cooperation, such as potential network sharing or the use of Orange's technology to broadcast 4ka's signal. This follows 4ka's recent acquisition of the 2,100 MHz frequency band for 15.6 million euros, which will support its 4G and 5G expansion.

Separately, Orange has launched a limited-time promotional offer for customers switching their numbers from other operators. The promotion, available online through August 19, 2026, offers a triple bonus that reduces monthly fees for various Super plans over a 24-month contract period, resulting in savings of up to 360 euros.
