Orange Cloud & Cyber Solutions launches cybersecurity awareness campaign

Orange Cloud & Cyber Solutions, a subsidiary of Orange Group in Côte d’Ivoire, has launched a mass cybersecurity awareness and training campaign. The initiative, titled ‘Orange Cyber Connect’, is scheduled to culminate in a major ceremony on November 5, 2026. The campaign focuses on the theme of ‘Thinking like a hacker in the era of artificial intelligence,’ offering workshops and conferences to teach best practices for internet navigation.

Ferdinand Tra, President of Orange Cloud & Cyber Solutions, emphasized that human error remains a critical vulnerability, noting that cybersecurity consists of 30% technical tools and 70% governance related to human behavior. He warned that in the age of AI, hacking no longer requires advanced technical skills, as a single mistake can compromise an entire organization.

In a related discussion on AI risks, experts highlighted the dangers of autonomous AI agents. A recent incident involving Claude Code, which resulted in the deletion of approximately 48,000 files, serves as a warning that current ‘human-in-the-loop’ safety models may be insufficient. Experts suggest that rather than relying solely on prompts to restrict AI actions, technical infrastructures must be designed to make high-impact, irreversible errors physically impossible for the agent to execute.
