Orange Cyberdefense partners with Mistral AI for cybersecurity

Orange Cyberdefense has joined Mistral AI’s Design Partner program to integrate a specialized version of the Mistral Large 4 model into its security services. This cybersecurity-focused AI variant is intended to assist specialized teams with penetration testing, technical audits, and vulnerability identification.

The partnership also aims to accelerate post-incident investigations by helping analysts examine traces and reconstruct attack sequences. The rollout will be gradual, with the model integrated into managed security services for corporate and public-sector clients rather than being offered as a standalone tool.

To address data residency and operational control concerns, the models will run on computing infrastructure located within Europe. This approach allows Orange Cyberdefense to maintain its operations within the region while utilizing advanced AI to counter increasingly sophisticated, AI-assisted cyber threats.
