Orange expands fiber optic services and connectivity solutions

Orange is expanding its fiber optic services and connectivity solutions in Martinique and France. The company offers various high-speed internet packages, including Livebox Starter with speeds up to 1 Gbit/s and Livebox Ultra Fibre providing up to 8 Gbit/s download and upload speeds.

To manage internet outages, a “reconnexion flash” feature allows a compatible smartphone to act as a relay for the Livebox via a mobile hotspot. This enables users to maintain web access during fiber disruptions by switching to a mobile connection through the router interface. Additionally, Orange provides 4G Airboxes to customers during moves or while awaiting new fiber installations.
