Orange former Electrolux factory nears full occupancy

The former Electrolux factory in Orange is undergoing a significant transformation, nearing full occupancy a decade after its closure. The site, which previously supported a large portion of the local economy, is now primarily occupied by companies in the mining, resources, and heavy industry services sectors.

Owners JCI and real estate firm RWC Central West are planning further developments to enhance the precinct. The next phase of the master plan, targeted for 2027, includes the proposed opening of a self-storage facility and an on-site cafe. Development applications for these projects are expected to be lodged by the end of 2026.
