Orange launches new Sosh fibre offers and vows no price hikes after SFR takeover

On 28 April 2026, Orange’s low‑cost brand Sosh restructured its broadband catalogue, introducing two fibre plans. The Boîte Sosh Fibre costs €24.99 per month, provides up to 2 Gbit/s download and 800 Mbit/s upload via Wi‑Fi 6E, and includes unlimited fixed‑line calls in France and abroad. The Sosh Boost Fibre, priced at €26.99, upgrades to Wi‑Fi 7, delivering up to 8 Gbit/s download and 2 Gbit/s upload, aimed at heavy streaming, gaming and remote‑work users.

Separately, Orange CEO Christel Heydemann told a Senate hearing that the pending €20.35 billion acquisition of SFR will not lead to higher mobile‑plan prices. She argued that competition depends on rivalry intensity, not the number of operators, citing OECD markets with three carriers that maintain low prices and high service quality. The transaction, involving Orange, Bouygues Telecom and Free, must be finalised by 15 May 2026.
