Orange police investigate suspicious house fire

Emergency services in Orange, Australia, responded to several incidents on Sunday, August 30, including a suspicious house fire on Adina Crescent. Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, which damaged the interior of the building. The premises was believed to be vacant at the time, and no injuries were reported. NSW Police are investigating the fire as potentially suspicious and are seeking information or CCTV footage from the public.

Earlier that day, firefighters attended a smoke incident on Wolsley Street caused by unattended cooking, which resulted in no injuries. Additionally, a pedestrian was taken to Orange Hospital in critical condition after being struck by a truck on the Northern Distributor Road near the intersection of Ophir Road. It is expected that the truck driver will not face charges.
