Orange police raid leads to domestic violence and drug charges

A 33-year-old man has been charged with 15 offences, including domestic violence and drug-related crimes, following a police investigation in Orange, Australia. The investigation began on August 14 after reports that a woman had been choked by a man known to her.

During a subsequent search of a residence, NSW Police seized approximately 18 grams of cocaine, 8.7 grams of MDMA, cannabis, and various drug paraphernalia, including scales and testing kits. The man faces charges of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and multiple counts of possessing and supplying prohibited substances.

The incident occurred during Operation Amarok, a state-wide initiative focused on identifying family and domestic violence offenders. The suspect was granted strict conditional bail and is scheduled to appear before the Orange Local Court on August 18.
