Orange Polska expands infrastructure and sees stock rise
Orange Polska is experiencing significant market activity driven by infrastructure expansion and positive analyst outlooks. The company, in partnership with APG, has finalized the acquisition of Nexera, integrating it into their joint venture, Światłowód Inwestycje. The transaction carries an enterprise value of approximately 1.5 billion PLN, including 1.0 billion PLN in bank debt and a 0.5 billion PLN purchase price split equally between the partners. This move aims to expand the joint venture's fiber optic network coverage to approximately 4 million households by 2030.
Simultaneously, Orange Polska shares rose by over 7 percent on the Warsaw Stock Exchange following upgraded recommendations from brokerage houses. Analysts at PKO BP raised their recommendation from ‘hold’ to ‘buy,’ increasing the target price from 15.5 PLN to 17 PLN. The upgrade is based on expectations of strong third-quarter 2026 results and favorable dividend prospects, with projected dividend yields potentially rising from 5.5 percent in 2027 to 10 percent by 2031.
