Orani hosts second edition of Orani’n Musica musical academy

The second edition of the Orani’n Musica musical academy will take place in Orani from September 9 to 13. Organized by the Conservatorio Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina of Cagliari under the artistic direction of Maestro Angelo Castaldo, the event has doubled its duration and educational offerings compared to the previous year.

The program includes masterclasses, conferences, and concerts held across various historical sites. Key events include an opening concert on September 10 at the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista featuring harpsichord and organ performances, a bassoon workshop concert in Piazza Mazzini on September 11, and musicological lectures at the Museo Nivola on September 12.

This year’s academy places a specific focus on bassoon classes from the Cagliari Conservatory, culminating in a collective performance by the students.
